“Who am I?”
It has been said this is the most important question a person can answer, and the pursuit of answering that question dominates the headlines around us. Racial identity, political identity, sexual identity, gender identity, and more are a fundamental part of much of our modern discourse.
Whether we think we know who we are or not, we don’t get the option to simply ignore the question. And all around us, TV shows, news sources, movies, music, podcasts communicate messages about who we should or should not be. This group will go through Pastor Zac’s doctoral curriculum called A New Self Portrait: A Five-Framed Approach to Biblical Identity which is meant to help us know ourselves better by engaging God’s Word from the standpoint of our identities and being intentionally reflective on the cultural messages from the world around us. In these six sessions and related devotional material, we will unpack a framework for reading the Bible and those cultural messages to reach the goal of better knowing ourselves, others, and our relationship to the Lord.
Below are the weekly video sessions as well as the devotional guides which correspond to each session.
